Latest News: InshaAllah First Stage of Building to Commence End of January ’08. We urgently need your help to raise £500,000 by March ’08
Assalam O Alaikum,
Welcome to the Masjid Ali Project website. It is with great pleasure that after nearly 10 years of struggle and perseverance, the Muslim Cultural Society has acquired 1.53 acres of land at Aston Church Road, Saltley, Birmingham, B8 for the site of the new Masjid Ali project.

    InshaAllah the intention of this project is to provide a large community Mosque and Islamic Library that caters for the needs of the whole community. It is planned that the Mosque will cater for 2,700 males and females, with separate male and female halls. The mosque will include a much needed mortuary, where the preparation for Janazah / burial can be made. There will also be a separate 2 storey building that will house an Islamic Library and in addition a Girls Islamic school is proposed in the second phase of the project.      It was a stipulation of the sale of the land by Birmingham City Council that the Mosque and Islamic Library are completed by October 2008.

To this end we have appointed Contractors to commence with the first stage of construction, (Groundworks, Substructure, Steel frame, Concrete floors, Staircases, Structure of Roof), by the end of January ’08 InshaAllah and we need to raise £500,000 minimum by March ’08 to pay the contractors for their work. We urgently appeal for your generous donations or Qarz–e–Hasnah to complete this first stage.

We also need your ongoing support with the costs of the overall construction and development of this site, which totals just over £5 Million over the construction period. We would greatly appreciate your kind and generous donations / Qarz–e–Hasna and we pray that Allah (SWT) will reward you all for your contributions, in this life and the hereafter.
